The Life We’re Building Doesn’t Arrive All at Once

Living Free. On Your Own Terms.

There’s a strange thing about deciding to change your life.

You make the decision, and in your head, you can already see where you’re going. The new surroundings. The businesses you want to build. The kind of mornings you want to wake up to.

But then Monday comes.

There are websites to finish, money to save, decisions to make, and a hundred ordinary responsibilities that don’t disappear just because you’ve decided to live differently.

That’s where we are right now.

We’re preparing for a move to Santiago, Dominican Republic. We’re developing business ideas, including Ocho Fuegos, our restaurant experiment. We’re building online businesses that we hope will give us more flexibility over where and how we live.

Some things are moving forward. Other things are still plans on paper.

And that’s part of the story I want to tell here.

Not just the finished version with beautiful photos and a clever caption. The preparation. The experiments. The decisions that work and the ones that don’t.

This week’s thought

You don’t have to wait until you’ve reached your destination to start living with intention.

You can build the next chapter while you’re still standing in the middle of the current one.

That’s what Wild at Last is about.

Not escaping responsibility. Building a life where responsibility and freedom can exist together.

One decision, one experiment, and one ordinary day at a time.

Go be wild.
